I think that the most productive definition is "Home is where one can see the sky". It can serve as an interesting constraint (in the same manner Perec uses constraints) for an architectural project. In this region of the globe, sky (sun) is also an energetic resource which is not taken seriously enough. A large portion of your site is the southmost part of the neighborhood facing a large void area with no hope or danger of shade. Today, in Israel, one can sell solar electricity to the electricity company. If you are interested in environmental issues, this could be a nice opportunity for "Solar Passive Aggressive" architecture.
As you already showed in class some examples of environmental experiences from Madrid, I think that exploring this issue in this economical an social context could open up the debate on the housing prices to new ideas: if the electricity company is willing to buy our solar energy why not let the sun pay our rent?
