-Bad Project
Our project is intended to separate the central station into two opposite worlds that are totally different from each other: a white city and a black city will confront each other, look at each other. Two populations will interact.
Reflexion about what is art, what is good art/bad art, what is good architecture/bad architecture, reflexion about the scenography.
«white city» 4 upper floors, on the standard model of the contemporary museum, the exhibition spaces will turn into a white box, bright, with the best scenography, which will highlight not only productions already present within the CBS but also artists recognized throughout the world. Only 1% of the population accesses this museum. The entrance is very selective.
«black city» floors underground. 99% of the population using the station is there. This half of the station is abandoned. Over the years, the population is piling up, illegal traffic is proliferating there, the authorities of the city close their eyes on what happens in the basement of the old central bus station.
Over the years, the gap between the white city and the black city is widening, inequalities are growing cruelly.
-Good Project
The «good project» aims to redo this site a center for the neighborhood, a place of life, sharing, meetings. the central bus station will be a place to live 24/24. The program is divided into 4 main categories: art, chill, sport and education. Here combine basketball field and artists’ studios, swimming pool and kart course, roof top and gardens ... Each floor is strong of a programmatic variety.
It is an artistic and colaborative platform in which everyone can meet.
-Beyond Project
Unlike the two previous projects we saw as an architectural solution, a product, a finished object; here we chose to focus more on the process.
The idea here is to set up a process of deconstruction, to better rebuild:
at. implementation of a recycling plant in the lower floors of the building
b. deconstruction, from the upper floors. Transfer of materials to be sorted via the ramp.
c.recycling materials, concrete, glass, steel
d. creation of the new skin, resulting from recycled materials. The new skin of this building is a reminder of the old structure of the central bus station.
